When configured for monitor mode, all device parameters are protected and the system operator only has access to virtual control centers and amplifier monitor functions.

When actively connected to the system, ControlSpace Designer software is used to configure the operation of all signal processing functions, as a system interface for system set-up and optimization, or as a system monitor. Smart Simulation uses virtual representation of physical control centers to configure and test system control programming-eliminating the need to connect to the actual system for control testing purposes. Once the signal processing and control system design are complete, Smart Simulation gives the system designer the ability to test and modify all control programming while offline.

Both Parameter Set and Group programming functions are easily mapped to the physical controls of a Bose control center, or can be invoked remotely using a standard serial protocol, time/schedule-based invocation or general-purpose inputs(1).

A single Parameter Set can change the state of a single processing function, or a collection of various processing parameters when invoked, while Groups provide the ability to control multiple gains simultaneously or multiple instances of the same signal processing function type. Network configuration tools help to quickly set up all PowerMatch amplifiers and engineered sound processors for operation on the larger ControlSpace control network.Ī library of control functions can be created using Parameter Set and Group control functions. The open DSP architecture of engineered sound processors is supported by a complete library of signal processing functions, allowing for the creation of a fully customized signal processing design. With ControlSpace Designer software, an entire audio system with multiple components can be configured, monitored, and tuned live for creating custom-designed audio and control solutions that save design time and offers outstanding flexibility to better meet client needs.ControlSpace Designer software provides all the necessary tools and functions to configure both the audio signal processing and network operation of Bose engineered sound processors and PowerMatch amplifiers. Program end-user controls and automation events visually with less complication and more predicable operation on-site.

The ESP-880AD also supports integration with industry-standard control systems, such as Crestron and AMX, and can be used with any of the compatible Bose Professional end-user control options such as the ControlCenter zone controllers and mobile-ready ControlSpace Remote.Ĭonfigure and control the ESP-880AD using Bose ControlSpace Designer software, where a large set of signal processing modules, such as automatic mic mixers, multiband graphic and parametric EQs, Bose loudspeaker libraries, signal generators, routers, mixers, AGCs, duckers, gates, compressors, source selectors, and delays offer an elevated level of functionality for general installed audio applications. Onboard connectivity includes front and rear-panel Ethernet ports, RS-232 serial, five control inputs, five control outputs, and an 8-channel Bose AmpLink port for sending digital audio to Bose amplifiers. Engineered for precise performance, the ControlSpace ESP-880AD offers advanced digital signal processing with 48 kHz/24-bit audio conversion, low-latency, and ultra-low noise operation. It features integrated Dante™ audio networking, 8×8 analog audio I/O, a Bose AmpLink output, and a front-panel RJ-45 Ethernet connection for localized configuration and monitoring.

An open-architecture DSP, the Bose ControlSpace ESP-880AD engineered sound processor is designed for a wide variety of applications - from small, self-contained projects to large, networked systems.
